Working on birthday plans for my Sean, can't believe it was this time last year I was waiting to go into labor. I love my spunky baby.

Good Job, Bro!
We got serious about potty training at the end of March, the hardest part of it all was having to hold Sean back from climbing up on the potty with Max, haha! After this sticker chart was over flowing I tried to take it off the door but Max wouldn't have it, we now have two others up as well. He's got it pretty much down, but a sticker will still motivate him when I need him to hurry and use the potty before we go somewhere. A couple weeks ago we had a great moment when he was playing with a friend on the porch and I heard him say, "I'll be right back!", he used the potty by himself, and came back to play. Love you Max, you sure are big!

I know her!
It's always fun to see people you know on TV! I'm sure some of you Utah peeps know her too. This will make you cry! We went to the same high school, and in college I took master classes from her at her studio in Orem, UT. Her classes were the kind where you didn't want it to end, even though you were sweaty and so tired, because you were having so much fun, and learning so much. She is so very talented, I hope she does well!

Happy Birthday Jared!
Jared's birthday was April 28th. We had the family over for a little Birthday Brunch. Since the play offs were starting, we had a "Basketball Birthday" has Max called it.
We served Huevos Rancheros, as Jared requested. I had never made them before but they were yummy!
Basketball cupcakes, yellow cake with purple frosting, can you tell who we cheer for around here?
The cute guests!
thanks Grandma for snapping this family photo, not bad!
That night our nice friends, the Buhanan's baby sat for us and Jared and I went out to Lucille's for dinner - delicious!

a night AWAY! in L.A.
Jared and I were able to leave the kids (thanks Aunt Jessica!) and go see Eve 6 in L.A. Their music takes us back to when we were dating and engaged and making all those road trips between Utah and California. They broke up shortly after we got married but are back together again with a new album. We couldn't pass up $20 tickets to see them!
I didn't get great photos, but took a few videos:
One of their most popular
This is definitely one of "our" songs
A new one that we like
Live music is such a blast. The lead singer's name is Max, one of the reasons I liked the name Max. But our Max is NOT named after this guy :).

Centennial Farm
We love the FREE farm that is open all year on the OC Fairgrounds in Costa Mesa.
These pigs were MONSTROUS
Cow
huge oxen, you can see how they could pull a handcart.
"mooo"
llamas
old farm vehicles
baby chicks
Angora sheep (goats?)
Rooster
sheep looking right at me!
baby lambs
The highlight was definitely the baby pigs, just 13 days old! Two more mama pigs are due this summer.
digging for worms
and of course ending the trip with a good scrub down.
Beach Day
We hit Laguna Beach with some friends last month. We had a BLAST!
the babies loved playing with the water in the buckets.
The big kids loved the snacks.
ready to play

Easter 2012
We had a wonderful Easter. Easter Sunday I was helping in nursery and when our nursery leader talked about the Easter story with the kids there was just such a special spirit there. There were at least 15 or 16 kids that day but they were all quiet and listening for a few moments, they understood how important it was. I am so thankful for the Resurrection of our Savior.
We went to the neighborhood egg hunt. .
Then came home and colored eggs. . .that smell reminds me of my childhood!
Easter morning
Later we ate delicious Easter dinner at Grandma's
We brought our colored eggs and "hid" them for everyone else to find.
We ended the day singing to Aunt Meridith for her Birthday.
