18 months update

Max actually turned 19 months yesterday, but I thought I'd post this with his 18 month pics which I just received, more to come later! this is a long, documentation purposes, post!

A Letter:
My sweet baby Max, you are 18 months old! 1 and a half whole years! You bring so much joy to your parents life. We love watching you grow, it's especially fun right now because of all the words you are learning. It's just fun to watch how your little mind works, how you figure things out, remember where things are, and know what comes next on our daily routines. You started nursery last month and you love it! You hold our hands and pull us there after Sacrament meeting. You run right in and have no problem when we say good-bye. The leaders there really love you too. You love the train table and all the cars. You laugh with the other little kids in there. One little boy in particular looks forward to seeing you, Elijah who is 2.5, he'll say "Maaax!" when you come in. You can fold your arms for the blessing on the snacks and when they hold up a picture of Christ you can say "Jesus!". Even though you are so little you are beginning to recognize and feel the Holy Ghost and it brings me as your mother so much joy. You love trucks, and cars. Right now while I'm writing this you are sleeping with the dump truck from "Bob the Builder" and a Hotwheels garbage truck. You also love airplanes and trains. Last time we were at the library you insisted on checking out a "Thomas the Tank Engine" DVD. You love watching the "choo-choos". The other day at Ikea you played with the train set for an hour straight and cried when we had to leave it! I'm saving one for you for Christmas, if I can last that long! We think it's really cute when you ask to watch "Bob the Builder" on the computer, you come over and start dancing with your arms while singing "Bob, Bob". You love playing with your friends. We play at our neighborhood playground every day. You like pushing the other kids in the Cozy Coupes, and going down the slides. You are getting good at sitting up to go down the slide instead of turning around on your belly. You can even say one of your friends names now, "Go-Go" (Gordon). Many of your friends around your age can say your name , it's an easier one! But you still refer to your self as "baby". We love how you give us hugs and kisses without hesitation. How you snuggle with us to read books, and how you hold our hand and walk with us to take us somewhere. I just love how you'll look up at me and reach for my hand when your ready to go somewhere. You can walk up and down the stairs with our help. You love bath time and have recently started laying on your tummy and kicking your legs in the tub. You used to just sit and sometimes stand but now we say "swim like a fish" and you get down on your tummy and kicks your legs. A funny story from this week, we went to Sea World with your friend Annabelle and her mom and baby sister we were watching a little boy feed fish to the sea lions and one popped up from the water below onto a ledge. It's face was just maybe a foot away from yours through the glass. Even though you were really enjoying watching them, this one was just right in your face and you jumped in your stroller! You were only scared for a second and then just went right back to watching them, smiling and laughing. You understand more of what we say each day and are very good at pointing out different objects we ask you to find in your "Richard Scary's Best Word Book Ever". I love being your mom Maxwell. It has changed my life in ways I couldn't even imagine but I love taking care of you, feeding you, and don't even mind changing those diapers. It's worth it! I miss you sometimes while you are sleeping. I love when you say "mem-mem" when your ready to get out of your crib in the morning. I look forward to our adventures each day.

- You sometimes say "it's a" but it's more like "'tsa" as in " 'tsa car" " 'tsa truck"
- We count " 'tsa car" as your first sentence.

- You can make some animal noises, we especially love when you do the elephant because you make your arm move like an elephant trunk and go "whooooooo" you also make fire truck noises and "beep beep" for cars.
Signs you do: (We watched Baby Signing Time for a little while when you were about 13-16 months, you don't really even watch it any more but you still pull out new signs from it every now and then, the latest are cracker and juice)
