The week before school started we made a last minute trip to CA with our friends Andy and Sarah. We had fun staying with Jared's family. We also spent one day at Knott's Berry Farm. This was just after going on a water ride, kind of like splash mountain, where we pretty much got soaked.
This one twirled you around through water fountains. Jared and Andy went on it twice! Sarah and I were a little less daring. Sarah's fabulous new camera got this picture, even though we were pretty far away.
Here we are at Doheny Beach, my fav beach near Jared's House, its in Dana Point. There is a bike path from Jared's house directly to this beach. Jared's one cute surfer huh?
These next few pictures are for Nathaniel! Anyone who knows our nephew, knows he loves whales and can tell you how big each kind of whale is and what they eat . . .etc. At Doheny Beach they have paintings on the side walk drawn to scale of many different kinds of whales. Here we're standing on a 95foot long blue whale.

A killer whale, I can't remember how big this one was but Nathaniel will have to remind me.
Beach Bums! (just a side note, Jareds awesome Arnette sunglasses were stolen just minutes after this photo was taken! grrr . . oh well it was still a great day!)

Andy and Jared, pro surfer chicos! Too bad the ocean was SO incredibly flat that day (as you can kind of see in the backround). Only tiny waves.
Jesus, Patti and Dave. Jesus is from Mexico and has been befriended by the Whites. Here he is making us an authentic Mexican meal. yummy!
